NFRA is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization with all contributions tax deductible. Donations are used to fund research, raise public awareness and to educate health care professionals regarding how to diagnose and treat fibromyalgia. The Association has funded $400,000 in fibromyalgia scientific research, held four researchers’ symposiums, distributed more than 40,000 physician education packets at dozens of national medical conferences and has worked to raise awareness of the National Institutes of Health regarding financial support for more FM scientific research. It hosts an educational fibromyalgia website and is highly regarded in the medical community as a professional fibromyalgia advocacy organization dedicated to helping millions of people suffering with fibromyalgia symptoms.
