What's New
Welcome to the What’s New section of the National
Fibromyalgia Research Association's web site where you can learn about
new treatments, including medications that show promise in helping to
alleviate fibromyalgia symptoms. Eventually, fibromyalgia news releases
and other resource information including special
events, new publications and patient organizations will be posted here.
We will also include updated research and highlight presenters from NFRA
symposiums.
- Fibromyalgia
and the Central Nervous System symposium will be held in Salem, Oregon September 9-10, 2006. Seventeen scientific researchers will present their individual reports pertaining to the possible causes and ideas about treatment at this 5th National Fibromyalgia Researcher’s symposium. Limited registration is available in the NFRA Shopping Mall.
Our first What’s New item highlighted Dr. Andrew Holman and his
work with dopamine agonists. His recently published article regarding
positive research results for the treatment of fibromyalgia using Pramipexole
is making national news. The of this study is included for your review
abstract so that you can educate your physicians
concerning this new treatment remedy.
